Principled Chiropractic Care

There is a Universal Intelligence in all matter that continually gives to it all its properties and actions, thus maintaining it in existence. My role as a chiropractor is to help your life intelligence expresses its’ healing potential 100%. This is done by the identification and reduction of subluxations.

Subluxation Based Care

Subluxation is defined by a reduction in your ability to self heal, grow, adapt and evolve. As a subluxation based chiropractor, I am skilled in locating and releasing those interferences to allow your body the innate ability to heal.

  • Bio-Geometric Integration

An integrative chiropractic framework that globally assesses the body for subluxation, BGI helps connects the dots into the interconnectedness of the body and looks at the interplay of the ligamentous, muscular, and skeletal systems. Dr. Topher has been fortunate to work with the owners of the framework and has taught BGI while attending graduate school.

  • Thompson Technique

The Thompson Technique is a full-spine adjusting technique that emphasizes high-velocity low amplitude and some low-force procedures. A drop table is used by the chiropractor to create a specific, easeful adjustment. The technique utilizes researched, neurological leg-check analysis that enables the doctor to differentiate between primarily cervical and pelvic involvement, allowing a highly specific adjustment.

  • Neuro-Emotional Technique

Our physical health is interconnected with our emotional health. NET offers a direct way to identify and correct physical aberrations around our emotions. NET specifically works with the ‘physiology’ of the emotional/stress responses. Utilizing muscle testing to get to the core emotion and experience, NET can be effective in establishing a healthy neuro-chemical emotional response.

  • Torque Release Technique

With the help of a specialized adjusting instrument, TRT neurologically assesses where the primary subluxations are and gently adjusts it. Some people find instrument adjusting is more suited for them, and it is just as effective as other techniques.

  • Sacral-Occipital Technique

SOT offers the chiropractor the ability to categorize the patient based on their presentation. It also helps adjust the body through the ligaments, dura, and bones to allow better cerebral fluid to nourish the nervous system. Utilizing adjusting fulcrums on the pelvis, SOT gently adjusts subluxations and helps the body to restore its internally healing.

The Nervous System

The nervous system is the master control center of the human body. It is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. It receives and interprets billions of nerve signals from every cell in the body. Your brain uses the information it receives to coordinate all of your actions and reactions, such as muscular activity, breathing, digestion, heart rate, hormone and gland activity. The nervous system also controls the immune system, which is responsible for the body's defense and disease fighting capability. As a chiropractor, I am invested in the function of your nervous system which can be largely impacted by the health, placement, and movement of your vertebral column. Housing the nervous system are 40+ bones and 115+ joints. It is the health of these bones and joints that play a large role in the function of your nervous system.

Thermography

Our infrared paraspinal Thermography scan represents the first step in diagnosing subluxations. We need to look beyond the symptoms and see through to the function of your body. Not only does this technology give us a greater initial look at your health, it also allows us to track your bodies ability to adapt. Measuring the subtle heat differences along the spinal cord, thermography gives us a window into the functioning of your autonomic nervous system. As the nerves are irritated, there is a dysregulation to the blood vessels, causing abnormal temperature readings. The graphs produced are able to progress positive change and functioning of your nervous system as care progresses.

Structural X-Rays

The spinal cord has two main function (1) to protect your central nervous system and (2) to allow advantageous biomechanics for movement. When the spinal bones are placed in their optimum positions, the nervous system can function. Structural X-Rays, along with video fluoroscopy, allow us to see the structure and function of your spine in order to know how best to help you.

Video Fluoroscopy

We are the only chiropractic office in Minnesota that uses this video fluoroscopy with the Pierce Results System. Video fluoroscopy is a real-time motion X-Ray that allows us to see exactly how your spine moves. This allows us to pinpoint the specific areas of your spine where your dysfunction is coming from and eliminates any guesswork.

FAQ

Do you take insurance?

I am considered “out of network” with most primary health insurance providers, and most insurance policies are very restrictive with chiropractic care. However, I am able to run a benefits check into your insurance and work with you financially. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) can be processed. Payment plans can be discussed during your initial or second visit!

Will I have to get adjusted forever?

The goal of care is to (1) reduce symptoms by adjusting the root cause, and (2) to prevent dis-ease. In the beginning there needs to be healing momentum, therefore care might be frequent. However, as your body maintains and stabilizes, visits can be dispersed. My goal is to shift everyone into wellness care!

Who can get adjusted?

Anyone with a spine can get adjusted! We love to take care of infants, children, young adults, and the wise. Did you know around 10% of your nervous system senses pain? That means that there may be disfunction without symptoms. We offer complementary Thermography exams and consultations to anyone who walks in the door.
